Andra Farizki Ramdhani, a 10th-grade student at People’s High School (SRMA 10) in South Jakarta, has defied the odds of growing up without a father by excelling in his studies. Thanks to the People’s School initiative launched by President Prabowo Subianto, Andra now has access to quality education despite his family’s financial struggles. The boarding school has provided him with a supportive environment where he can thrive academically and socially.
Adjusting to dorm life has been a mix of challenges and rewards for Andra, who misses his family but finds solace in the camaraderie of his friends. The school’s facilities go beyond his expectations, with comfortable living quarters and well-equipped study areas that help him stay focused. Andra is actively involved in extracurricular activities such as judo and finds joy in subjects like informatics.
Despite the absence of his father, Andra remains determined to pursue his ambitions of becoming a judo athlete and studying at the Defense University (Unhan). His dreams are fueled by his mother’s unwavering support and prayers. Andra is grateful for the opportunity to study at the People’s School without the financial burden typically associated with education, making it a beacon of hope for underprivileged children like himself.
From the classroom to the sports field and the dormitory, every experience at the People’s School shapes Andra’s knowledge and independence. With his strong determination and his mother’s prayers, Andra believes that his dreams are now within reach. The People’s School has not only provided him with a quality education but also instilled in him a sense of gratitude and resilience in the face of adversity.
