President Prabowo Subianto, in Klaten, Central Java on July 21, 2025, reiterated his commitment to boosting the people’s economy by launching 80,081 Merah Putih Village Cooperatives nationwide. The establishment of these cooperatives will create village-level infrastructure like warehouses, pharmacies, and retail outlets to provide affordable generic medicines, fertilizers, and staple foods directly to the people. President Prabowo emphasized the need for accessible essential medicines at affordable prices and called for strict oversight to combat fraudulent practices in staple goods distribution. With the aid of artificial intelligence tools and quality control labs, anomalies and price manipulations can be swiftly identified. Encouraging unity for social justice, he urged the nation to prioritize national interests over party or group interests, guided by truth and justice.
