Festival Kuliner Ramadan: 1.447 Porsi Opor Pecahkan Rekor MURI

“OPORasi Lebaran Food Festival” in Q-Big BSD City Breaks MURI Record

“OPORasi Lebaran Food Festival” event in Q-Big BSD City, Jakarta, served 1,447 portions of chicken opor to the public, breaking the Museum of Records-Indonesia (MURI) record. This pre-Ramadan event involved hundreds of participants from various communities cooking chicken opor in one location. Thousands of visitors, from local residents to culinary communities, crowded the event area. The Marketing Manager of PT Sasa Inti, Nanda Rahmanu, explained that the number 1,447 was chosen as a symbol to welcome Eid al-Fitr in the 1447 Hijri calendar. The event aimed not only to achieve a record but also to strengthen togetherness during Ramadan.

As the time for breaking the fast approached, the festival became livelier. The 1,447 portions of chicken opor that were cooked were distributed to visitors to enjoy together. This moment allowed people to break their fast together in a warm atmosphere of togetherness. In addition to the mass cooking activity, the festival also featured events such as a Ramadan study themed “The Virtues of Eid al-Fitr” and entertainment involving public figures. The combination of religious and culinary activities became an attraction for visitors.

The organizers hoped that this event would provide a space for social interaction and inspire people to prepare for Eid dishes. Chicken opor, as one of the traditional dishes of Eid al-Fitr, is seen as having a strong cultural value in strengthening family ties. Through this event, the community was encouraged to feel a sense of togetherness and to see Ramadan as a time to share and strengthen social relationships.
