Prabowo dan MBS Tingkatkan Koordinasi untuk Jamaah Haji Indonesia

President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia made an official visit to Saudi Arabia on July 2–3, 2025, with the aim of strengthening cooperation to enhance the services provided to Indonesian pilgrims during the Hajj and Umrah journeys. During his visit, President Prabowo met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah to express appreciation for the Saudi government’s dedication to serving pilgrims from Indonesia and around the world.

The discussions between President Prabowo and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized the collaboration between both countries to ensure the safety and comfort of Indonesian pilgrims. It was agreed that efforts would be made to improve the quality of services for Indonesian pilgrims in upcoming Hajj seasons, with a focus on providing a seamless pilgrimage experience.

In addition to matters related to Hajj, strategic agreements were reached to bolster bilateral relations. The Saudi–Indonesia Supreme Coordination Council, led by the Crown Prince and President Prabowo, concentrated on expanding cooperation in various areas such as trade, investment, energy, and technology. The trade relationship between the two countries has been substantial, amounting to approximately USD 31.5 billion over the past five years.

Furthermore, agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed to encourage private sector investment totaling around USD 27 billion. These investments are anticipated to generate employment opportunities in Indonesia, particularly in sectors like energy, industrial development, and environmentally sustainable technology.

Both leaders also stressed the significance of collaboration in the health sector, especially in meeting the medical requirements of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. Discussions also revolved around the advancement of the pharmaceutical and vaccine industries and the strengthening of health workforce capabilities.

On the international front, President Prabowo and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reiterated their commitment to promoting peaceful conflict resolutions in the region. They both reiterated their support for a two-state solution for Palestine and recognized the role of international humanitarian organizations in fostering peace and stability.

The visit served to emphasize the deepening and growing partnership between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia across various sectors, underlining their shared goal of enhancing services for Indonesian pilgrims and strengthening cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations.
